🦖 Features
Shader Execution Reordering & Opacity Micromaps
Evolve now supports Shader Execution Reordering (SER) and Opacity Micromaps (OMM) on supported hardware.
Shader Execution Reordering (SER) allows the GPU to dynamically reorder ray tracing shader invocations for better coherence, reducing divergent execution and improving throughput. Opacity Micromaps (OMM) encode sub-triangle opacity data to allow the hardware to skip intersection testing against transparent geometry, avoiding costly any-hit shader invocations. In non-technical terms, both are performance optimizations that most if not all ray tracing games will use going forward.
For official runs that end up in the Hall of Fame, SER and OMM will be enabled by default if your GPU supports them. Users can toggle SER and OMM usage through custom runs to see the performance impact of both.

Latest drivers are required:
- AMD: Adrenalin Edition 26.2.1
- Intel: Intel Arc Graphics (Windows)
- Nvidia: Driver version 595 or newer
🐞 Bug fixes & improvements
- Professional users using evolve-professional.exe for commandline automation now receive actual output to stdout from running the command.
- CLI runs no longer show dialog windows or the "device not supported" screen — the application now exits with an error code instead of hanging, which fixes automated scripting workflows.
- CLI export files are no longer created at startup — they are only written once a benchmark run completes, preventing confusing empty files from appearing on disk
